Change begins with a new heart
Habit Swap grew out of the Christian faith. We believe real freedom doesn’t come from gritted teeth, but from the strength God gives. The app invites you into that. It doesn’t push anyone.
“I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you.”Ezekiel 36:26 · World English Bible
Repentance means a new way of thinking
The Greek word μετάνοια literally means “a change of mind.” In the New Testament it’s the word for repentance. It doesn’t mean feeling bad until you’ve earned a fresh start. It means a turn in how you think, one that God himself works in a person.
That’s why Habit Swap doesn’t put your own discipline at the center. The swap plan, check-ins, and the climb are good tools. But the strength to change comes from God.
Grace instead of shame
People who struggle with a habit often feel ashamed. Shame drives us into hiding, and that’s usually where things get worse. So Habit Swap doesn’t treat a slip as a fall off the mountain. You log it honestly, learn from it, and keep going. God’s mercies are new every morning.
Open to everyone, wherever you are
When you start, Habit Swap asks where you stand with faith. What the app shows you follows from that. You can change it anytime in your profile.
I trust Jesus Christ
The app walks with you through God’s word and prayer, with Bible verses for hard moments and prayer groups.
I’d like to get to know God
The app gently shows you who God is and what he promises. No pressure, no insider language.
Not now
The app stays free of faith content. Every other feature works just the same.
Where faith shows up in the app
Bible verses
Verses for temptation, slips, and new strength, from public-domain translations like the World English Bible.
Prayer
Morning and evening prayer as good habits, and a prayer as your swap when the urge comes.
Prayer groups
Private groups by invitation. With “Please pray for me,” others know when you need them.
Your printed Bible
The app doesn’t replace it. It points you to the passages so you can read them in your own Bible.
Who is Jesus?
If you’d like to get to know God, the app has a short, honest invitation. No strings attached, at your own pace.
